How To Grow Taller Naturally
Most people do not enjoy being short. Coming from a short family I can say this. The good news there is something that you can do about it. Through good nutrition, exercises and healthy living your can grow taller at any age.
Exercise is one of the most important activities that you can do to help you grow taller. The most important time that you should be exercises is during puberty. Doing resistance training with heavy weights is extremely beneficial. This help release growth hormones. These growth hormones stimulate the growth plates at the end of the bone. This can dramatically increase your height during these years. Once the growth plates fuse to bone after puberty they will never grow again. Exercise also strengthens your core (abs, lower back, etc…). This promotes good posture which will make you taller.
There are many products out on the market reporting that they can actually increase the length of your bones after puberty. This is simply not true. Once your growth plates fuse into bone, it is impossible for that bone to lengthen with the exception of surgery. If you knew how bones grew this would make more sense.
Infants have a one hundred more bone than grown ups. A lot of these bones are made of cartilage. Cartilage will grow and fuse with other bones to make a solid adult bone. Through puberty we have hard solid bones, but we also still have a cartilage growth plate at the end of the bone. These will grow until we are done with puberty. This is around age 21 for men and’ for women. Once these growth plate stops growing they will never grow again.
Exercises as an adult will still help you look taller. A slim fit body will give the illusion of being taller. It may also better your posture and correct a curvature of the lower back. This can increase your height as an adult.
The other major component to take into account is your diet. Eating right is important for making the most out of your height. One of the main nutrients that you need is calcium. If you do not have enough calcium the body tries to use its own stores from bones to make up for the lack of it in your diet. This will cause weak bones over time. This will make you more susceptible to injuries, especially breaks. Make sure that you eat other foods that contain high amounts of protein and amino acids. This will ensure maximum results.
